Following on from the sessions with Roni Size & Shy FX, Play returns for it’s January finale with another assortment of beatz, bass and house music…
ENGINE-EARZ Experiment are a UK based live dubstep collective formed in 2009 bymulti-instrumentalist/DJ/ producer Prashant Mistry.
Often described as ‘Massive Attack for the Dubstep generation’ the band have already won over an assorted army of fans from Rusko and Nitin Sawhney right through to Liam Howlett and Mike Skinner.
Engine-Earz Experiment are famed as dubstep’s first fully live act and consist of five core musicians; Prashant Mistry (Synths/Electronics), Data (MC), Jade Browne (Vox/Guitars), James Billinge (Drums) and Kabir Kainth (Percussion) plus full live visuals from VJ Splatty.
On occasion other collaborators such as Lena Cullen, Jenna G and Get Cape Wear Cape Fly amongst others have also featured on tours and events including two BBC Maida Vale sessions in under a year! The sessions really opened up the band to their world become a big Youtube favourite notable also for appearances from hiphop/grime superstars Foreign Beggars
DANISM (Defected): Dan Liquid and Dan Nu:Tone are collectively known as Danism. Together they form a production team that is synonymous with a high a quality and innovative production sound. With extensive studio experience, Dan Liquid and Dan Nu:Tone and are currently making serious waves.
As a fully-trained musician and keyboard player, Dan Nu:tone has seamlessly integrated himself with Dan Liquid’s production v…ision and their tracks have, over the past 3 years, consistently hit the top of the international dance charts.
Influenced by a whole range of musical genres, Danism’s production output is both prolific and varied whilst maintaining a definite signature sound. This quality and consistency has resulted in major support right across the house spectrum.
